IMPORTANT INFORMATION
|
PRICES AND SIZES
We are no longer VAT registered. Prices shown in the catalogue and on the web site apply to all customers, in the U.K. and overseas; There will be no VAT reduction for overseas customers.
Prices may change without notice. Prices charged will be those ruling at the date of dispatch.
Sizes and weights given in the catalogue and on the web site are approximate.
Illustrations shown are not actual size. Where dimensions are important please check with us before ordering.
|
POSTAGE AND PACKAGING CHARGES
Please note that postage and packing is now charged on ALL packages.
Except for Beginners Kits, prices in the catalogue or on the web page are exclusive of postage and packaging. In order to be as fair as possible to everyone, each package is treated individually. The total charge is made up of postage at cost, with a contribution towards the cost of packaging.
For inland services we usually use First Class Service for packages up to about 2kg and Parcelforce for packages above that weight.
For overseas service we usually use Air Mail service - Printed Paper or Small Packet for smaller, lower value items and insured Parcelforce Standard for larger more expensive items. Surface mail is available and is very economical, especially for books, but is not insured and items are sent at your own risk.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Sending payment with your order:
|
Payment may be made in Sterling by Open cheque drawn on a U.K. bank (Please see instructions below on how to order using an open cheque).
|
Please do not post cash, either as notes or as coins.
|
When sending payment with your order please note that the cost of postage, and a contribution toward packaging, will be added onto your order total once calculated. This will be detailed on your receipt. |
How to order using an open cheque:
1. |
Fill out an order form, making sure you have given your name, address and telephone number and have listed, in full detail, the items you require and their prices. Include the ordering code, or book code, which is shown in the left margin of the catalogue or web page. This helps to prevent errors where, for example, several books have the same title. Please make sure you print clearly.
|
2. |
To establish the value of your 'open cheque':
|
|
a) b) c) |
Determine the total cost of the items you have chosen.
Add £2.50, which is an allowance for an average weight parcel (We will establish the actual cost of stamps and your contribution towards the cost of packaging.).
Round up your new total to the nearest £10.00 above (e.g: £3.50 total gives a limit 'Not to exceed £10.00'; £18.50 total gives a limit 'Not to exceed £20.00').
|
3. |
Complete your cheque as follows:
|
|
a) b) c) d) |
Fill in today's date.
Make the cheque payable to D.J. Hornsby.
Sign the cheque.
Beneath your signature, write the limit of your cheque (e.g. 'Not to exceed £40.00').
|
4. |
Do not complete the words and figures section of your cheque. We will do this, within the limit you have set, and notify you on your invoice of the exact amount. |
|
